In the fields of propulsion technology, vacuum systems and water treatment, we offer our customers optimal support during plant design, technical consultancy, commissioning, training, spare parts service and repairs.
To strengthen our after-sales team, we are looking for an After-Sales Technical Administrator (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible.
Your responsibilities
- Handling of quotations, orders, and invoicing
- Advising and supporting new and existing customers as a knowledgeable point of contact
- Reviewing and entering new projects into customer portals, inventory management systems, and internal databases
- Processing billing for service calls performed and for spare or wear parts delivered
- Preparing packing lists, delivery notes, and other shipping documents
- Compiling and maintaining relevant shipping documentation, including safety data sheets
- Ensuring timely and customer-oriented order processing
- Proficiency in standard MS 365 applications
Your Profile
- A completed commercial apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or metalworking or shipbuilding or a similar technical field
- Experience in the maritime sector is desirable but not essential
- A strong customer and service focus with appropriate communication skillsYour profile
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- As part of a small after-sales team, a team-oriented approach combined with the ability to work independently, in a goal- and solution-oriented manner is important, as are flexibility and decisiveness
- Proficiency in using MS Office products

We offer our customers premium support in project planning, technical advice, commissioning, training, after-sales service and repair in the segments of propulsion and manoeuvring systems, vacuum systems and water treatment.
Your Tasks are
- Acquiring new projects and clients: You will identify and secure new clients and projects for our company
- Quotation and order processing: Preparing and processing quotations, as well as following them up until successful completionon schedule
- Managing client and project data: Maintaining and updating client and project data in our system
- Relationship management: Maintaining and developing client relationships through proactive communication.
- Supporting sales and marketing: Working closely with the sales team to implement sales strategies and marketing campaigns.
Your Profile
- Completed education and, ideally, experience in the shipping sector
- Knowledge of products and services, an understanding of the products and services offered by SI-Schiffstechnik; willingness to learn
- A basic technical understanding of marine engineering is an advantage
- You are a team player and know how to identify and respond to customer needs and have good communications skills.
- A friendly, professional and solution-oriented manner – even in stressful situations
- Confident use of ERP systems and Microsoft 365
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English

Your Tasks as Service Technician
- Commissioning and Sea Trials
- Maintenance, repair and service work on schedule
- Trouble shooting and rectification of technical problems on our principal’s systems
- Documentation and reporting for projects
- Close communication with shipping companies, shipyards and crews
Your Profile
- Completed education as a ship mechanic or industrial mechanic, mechatronics technician or comparable qualification
- Experience in maintenance and repair of ship systems is of advantage
- Ability to work in a team and good communication skills
- Flexibility and resilience - you keep cool even in hectic situations
- Willingness to travel (D and NL, EU-wide if required) and to accept flexible working hours
- Good knowledge of German and English (spoken and written)
- Class B driving license
